To test all those old packets of seeds in the shed, start by covering a tray with paper towel.
Then label the seed packets and sections of the tray.
Thoroughly wet the paper towel before laying out the seeds in even rows under the labels.
Sprouts should appear in a few days. Discard the seeds that haven’t sprouted, then plant those that have in pots or a garden bed.
