There are plenty of ways to reuse an old jar. Old mayonnaise jars make ideal secret hiding spots, all you need is some white paint.

Once the jar is finished, wash it and let dry thoroughly. Then paint the inside of the jar white. By painting the inside white, the jar will still look like it is full and therefore makes for the perfect hiding place. No one will think to look for valuables inside a mayonnaise jar.

Use the jar to store cash, jewellery or other important keepsakes. Store the jar in the pantry or fridge for the illusion of authenticity.
