Ready to build a garden bed in your yard? Not sure how to go about setting it out, or about where it should be located? Try this low-budget landscaping solution.

Use a hose and spray paint to set out a garden bed. Position the hose in the shape of the garden bed you plan to build and spray paint around the edges. The spray painted outline will make it much easier building. It’s also a good way to test the position of your future garden bed. Leave the spray painted outline there for a week, and imagine the garden bed is already in place. Does it hinder foot traffic? How much sun does your chosen location get? Is your design too big or small for the yard? Continue tweaking the set out until you are satisfied with your decision and ready to commit to a build.
