Cardboard boxes can be annoying to carry, especially when they’re heavy or awkwardly shaped.
If you’re moving house and you need to lift dozens of boxes, you’ll soon be looking for a way to make them easier to carry.
This simple trick creates hand holes in the side of the box, so they can be picked and carried much more easily.
All you need to do is cut a ‘V’ into either side of the box, and then tuck the flap underneath. This reinforces the cardboard by creating a horizontal fold that won’t cut into your hands.
To even further reinforce the handles, fold the top flap of the box inwards and align the top of the ‘V’ with the edge of the top flap then fold the ‘V’ flap over the top flap.
