How To Store Spare Nuts, Bolts And Screws

Nuts, bolts and screws can pop up in random places all over the home and workshop. We’ve even heard of them turning up in the kitchen cutlery drawer!
We are all guilty of setting down extra screws with the intention of figuring out what to do with them later, only to forget and never follow through. Creating a designated place for spare DIY parts solves half the problem. Whenever you find yourself with extra bits and bobs, you are less likely to stash them willy-nilly if you know where they are supposed to go. The other half of the problem (preventing the creation of an infamous workshop junk drawer) is keeping things organised.
Cue extra large zipper bags, or freezer bags.
Zipper bags are an easy way to store and organise extra nuts, bolt and screws and can be stored neatly in drawers and cupboards. Did we mention they are also super cheap?
Plastic toothbrush holders are also handy when it comes to storing spare parts and small tools.
