Yarn Christmas Trees

If you have leftover yarn from knit, crochet or other projects, wrap it around a foam cone to create a cozy Christmas tree. Use tacky glue or a low-temperature glue gun to secure the yarn. For added fun, repeat the process with coordinating metallic yarn or another colour, wrapping lightly enough to reveal some of the base yarn underneath.

Paper flowers, a string of faux pearls and pearl-head pins make eye-catching trims.

Other trimming options include buttons, ribbon bows (or yarn bows), beads, small silk flowers, pinecones, charms, miniature tree ornaments and even costume jewelry.
