Make A Divided Spice Drawer

Make a drawer divider with crosspieces from 3.6mm plywood, or use cedar for its natural insect-repelling qualities.

CUT THE PLYWOOD after measuring the height, depth and width of the drawer to calculate the number of sections. Mark and cut the plywood using a handsaw or jigsaw.

MARK THE CROSSPIECES with equal spacing. Cut 3.6mm-wide slots to half the depth of the crosspieces using a jigsaw.

CUT THE DIVIDER to length with matching half laps, then interlock all the pieces and arrange them in the drawer on a sheet of lining paper.
