cam-out

If you’ve ever experienced cam-out before, you’ll know it’s frustrating and can cause damage to your screw heads or even your screwdriver or driver bits.
The best way to avoid cam-out is by selecting the correct driver bit for the screws you are using.
First, check the pack of screws to find out the screwdriver required. You will most likely find this on the back of the packaging.
Next, select the appropriate sized driver bit. The size is usually stamped on the side of the bit. In this case, PH2 indicates it is a Phillips size 2 driver bit.
Once the correct bit is selected, drive the screw into the workpiece. The bit and screw head will be matched perfectly, allowing the screw to glide effortlessly into place without damage to the screw or your tools.
